An Egypt woman once known to be the heaviest woman on earth died of heart and kidney problem.
Eman Ahmed, aged 37 who weighed above 500kg (1102.31 lbs) when she was heaviest, had been on treatment for many months after an operation in March. You can watch the video from the source below
She first had a surgical operation in India, losing about 317kg (698.865 lbs) then she was moved from Egypt on a specially suited cargo aircraft after a tweet to India’s foreign minister soliciting for assistance.
Before the surgery she hadn’t left her house in 25 years
After the procedure, which payment was settled via a crowdsourcing campaign, she was able to reduce her weight to about under 388.014 lbs (176kg).
In spite of the clear victory of the surgery, her sister, Shaimaa Selim, charged staff of overstating the amount of weight Ms Ahmed had lost which made many doctors to resign.
She later openly changed her state by saying: “Thank you to all…folks in India. Thank you.”
In May, Ms Ahmed was moved to Abu Dhabi for consequent surgery. She was conveyed by air ambulance on a hydraulic stretcher which was uniquely brought from Italy, through a 12-mile (20km) passaged made by Mumbai authorities to carry her from the clinic to the airport.
Over the last 4 months till her death, a group of more than twenty doctors had been taking care of her at the Burjeel Hospital, where it’s reported that staff were working towards making her walk again.
She sustained elephantiasis, a state that makes body tissue swell, and also had a stroke at age eleven, her family revealed.
Ms Selim said Ms Ahmed, who marked her birthday previous month, had had a dream of a day being able to come back to the beach in Alexandria where she lived.
