STAR WARS new director Rian Johnson has given a hint that survival is not certain for all the key players through to Episode 9
Episode 8: The Last Jedi will be released in few days, with majority of its plot wrapped in misery, anyone could guess whether or not the principle cast will survive through to the trilogy’s last chapter in 2019.
In a chat with the New York Times, the cast were asked what they expect to see happen to their roles in the next movie.
“Depending on who lives at this point,” Johnson cryptically said.
Domhnall Gleeson, who acts General Hux, added: “I just have a little part to play in all of this, however if I had concluded what I was going to do, from the previous one to the next one, it would not have been closely as overwhelming as what Rian created with it.”
Poe Dameron star Oscar Isaac said: “It is astounding on the thought about letting go that control feeling.
“You just have to be open then see what is next.”
So now that everyone remains cryptic, can we presume more than one will leave in the new film? Or will they all scale through?
Unhappily, one unexpected separation will come from Carrie Fisher’s General Leia, after Fisher suddenly died immediately after shooting of Episode 8 finished.
Gwendoline Christie stated earlier in the week that the hero’s performance is “beautiful”, and it has been concluded that producers will not use CGI or archive footage to put her in in any way into Episode 9.
Other stars of the movie are Daisy Ridley (Rey), Andy Serkis (Snoke), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), John Boyega (Finn) and Kelly Marie Tran (Rose)
Star Wars: Episode 8 will be released December 14 in the UK.
