Luis Suarez reveal that he and Lionel Messi are still hurt from Neymar’s Barcelona departure after trying to persuade the Brazil not to go.
Neymar combine to create a third of Barcelona’s well known M-S-N attack alongside Messi and Suarez before
his world-record £200 million move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
Suarez have been struggled since Neymar’s exit, having only scored three La Liga goals this season, with his last coming nearly a month ago in a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid.
The Barcelona striker confess that he is now frequently drawn out to Neymar’s old left-hand side “because I see there’s no one there”, and disclosed the transfer has had a touching impact on Barcelona’s attack.
“We miss Neymar a lot on the field of play, but more off it, because he was special,” Suarez stated.
“He said we had a lot of fun.
He was valuable for us.
He’s playing for another team now but I don’t hold it against him, the opposite.

I tried to persuade him to stay because I think here’s the best place for him, but it’s a choice he had to take.
Suarez also said “[Messi and I] tried to do what would interest the team.
But we never said ‘Don’t go because you won’t be happy.’
“We said we didn’t want him to leave, but that he was free to do what he feels like.
Because of the bond between us, it was painful that he left.”
Barcelona lead La Liga by eight points ahead of Real Madrid despite Neymar’s exit and Suarez’s lack of form.
It was reported by Catalan TV station La Porteria that Neymar is feeling sad over his switch to PSG, but Suarez insists the 25-year-old would be ready to go on record if he was yearning for a return to the Nou Camp.
“It’s come out that he feel sorry for leaving.
Not at all,” said Suarez.
