In addition to making love on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Craig David has been busy making music, recently announcing a brand new album and a new single for us.

Hoping to throw it back to the early days of “UK R&B”, Craig has promised that his latest release is all about “simple storytelling” and authenticity.

“This is authentic me, doing what I love, just like I did when I was an unknown artist,” he explained. “The then lad from Southampton compiling pieces of music in his bedroom and taking chances.”

Craig’s seventh studio album The Time Is Now is due to drop next year January, but it sounds like it’ll be well worth the wait.

The singer cemented his title as the official comeback king of 2016, after kicking off a renaissance to rival that of Matthew McCounaughey.

He did not just score his first number one single in 16 years, he also went on to win a MOBO Award and bag the Children in Need charity single.

We guess he was born to do it…
